At The Queen's request, it is time for another blog update from me. It's been pretty hectic this week...I'm not sure if it's flown by or if it's just crawling. This is most likely due to a serious lack of sleep channeled into late night religious discussions and random idiocy with my wonderful roommates :)
In other news, classes are going to be harder than ever (that's what I get from registering for five social work courses). On top of the required academia, I'm working 12 hours a week, running Phi Alpha, and still need to find time for grad school applications. Oy.
And just to top off my day, I was shot at by members of JMU ROTC. All hail Parking Services' courage under fire! Oh well...at least they were blanks :)

Well, well, well...what a week it's been. Move-in at Stonegate was successful, and the apartment is a dream, despite our lack of phone service. Of course, I don't have much power over our provider since our base phone is free. "Um, but, well...you promised!" tends not to fly far with the service reps.
Anyway, the week has been otherwise productive. I've begun the bartering process of textbooks for a good, hard screwing. Fortunately, they're now throwing in a free welfare application with each purchase.
Parking services is going well thus far. We have a beautiful new office underneath the parking deck and I got a beautiful new raise to go with it. Freshmen move-in went extraordinarily well yesterday and for the first time that I can recall, parking staff received compliments from both parents and the JMU police. I now give you permission to be in awe of my mad traffic directing skills.
I miss everyone who has left for lands far from JMU and I wish you all the best in moving, or staying right where you are. Keep in touch and stay alert for dinner party announcements!

Had a lovely evening at Kate's Irish Pub...ate lots of chocolate, played darts for love, and Catherine helped me to discern the name of my new boyfriend. It was productive; "Buddy" is definitely out.

It certainly was. The concert was incredible, and everything we saw certainly made up for the fact that BBMak didn't show up. To say that N'SYNC knows how to put on a show is a definitive understatement. And thank you Justin and Stacy for a wonderful time, and for still admitting to know me when I was bustin' a move in the middle of the RFK Stadium parking lot.

I would like to take this moment to recognize President Bush for the greatest decision of his administration thus far. To federally fund stem-cell research only on those stem cell lines already created, while focusing the majority of funding on adult stem cell research is an optimal decision, both morally and logically. With this course of action, he protects the babies yet to be born. For those who died, he honors their memory that they did not die in vain. But the dying ends here. And together with prayer and careful ethical monitoring, society will grow in physical and spiritual health. Thank you, Mr. President. One day, thousands of others will thank you too.
In accordance with this decision, I've been considering that if I get married, I might adopt one or more of our current frozen embryos. Then the debate would have to stop that they would be discarded anyway. Just a thought...

Tonight we graced West End Dinner Theater for "Late Nite Catechism." It was an excellent production, which integrated serious social commentary on the state of the Church with a light-hearted perspective on Catholic belief. Anyone who attended Catholic school or appreciates having a sense of humor on religion should attend. I might add, as befitting for my years of Catholic school education, I was tonight's star pupil :)
